Site Engineer – Rail
Reddish North & Swinton
Contract | Long-term opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure project in Greater Manchester.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the site engineering team, supporting the delivery of station and civil engineering works in a live rail environment.
The Role
You will provide engineering support to the project team and ensure works are set out and delivered accurately, safely and in accordance with the project specification.
Responsibilities include:

Setting out and surveying construction works.
*
Providing engineering support to the Site Management team.
*
Checking levels, dimensions and line/level.
*
Producing and maintaining accurate site records.
*
Carrying out quality inspections and completing relevant documentation.
*
Reviewing drawings and specifications and identifying technical issues.
*
Supporting subcontractors with engineering queries.
*
Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with RAMS and project requirements.
*
Liaising with the wider engineering and construction teams.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
*
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on rail or civil engineering projects.
*
Strong setting-out experience.
*
Good knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
*
Experience working within a live railway environment.
*
Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
*
PTS / Sentinel accreditation.
*
CSCS and relevant site qualifications.
*
Strong communication and organisational skills.
*
A proactive approach and ability to work effectively within a site team
