Site Engineer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Engineer to join our dynamic client for a prestigious highways scheme in Northamptonshire. This is a freelance position, focused on managing and overseeing earthworks and drainage operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage earthworks and drainage activities on-site.
·Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
·Conduct regular site inspections and provide accurate progress reports.
·Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
·Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction.
·Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, daily logs, and quality assurance documentation.
·Supervise and mentor junior staff and subcontractors as needed.
·Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to on-site.

Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry, specifically within highways, earthworks, and drainage projects.
·Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
·Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software.
·Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
·Strong organizational and communication skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualifications.
·Valid CSCS card
·Previous UK Highways experience.
