Location: Sheffield
Project: £25m Distribution Centre
Duration: 48 Weeks
Day Rate: £350–£400 per day (depending on experience)
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join the delivery team on a £25m distribution centre project in Sheffield. This is a 48-week programme offering the chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major industrial development from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Managing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
Ensuring works are carried out to the required quality standards.
Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors and design team.
Carrying out site surveys and checking line and level.
Producing and maintaining QA documentation and inspection records.
Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
Monitoring progress and ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
Assisting with the planning and coordination of site activities.Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on industrial, logistics, warehouse or distribution centre projects.
Strong setting out experience using Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.
Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience with QA procedures and as-built documentation.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software.
Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Valid CSCS Card.
SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
