Site / Setting Out Engineer – Wimbledon
Location: Wimbledon, South London
Rate: £280–£320 per day
Start: Immediate
Positions available: Two

We are recruiting two experienced Site / Setting Out Engineers to support a prestigious, high-spec project at Wimbledon Tennis Club.
The project includes complex external works, roof terraces, podium layouts, structural finishes, paving and localised groundworks. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically demanding and high-profile development where accuracy, quality and proactive engineering input will be essential.
The role
You will take responsibility for setting out and quality control across your allocated works, working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to identify technical issues before they affect delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Precision setting out for paving, structural finishes, podium areas and associated external works
* Interpreting and reviewing structural and construction drawings
* Identifying design discrepancies and engineering clashes at an early stage
* Raising and managing RFIs with the relevant project stakeholders
* Completing site surveys, checks and as-built records
* Taking ownership of on-site quality control and inspection processes
* Maintaining accurate engineering records and supporting project documentation
* Liaising directly with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
* Ensuring works are completed accurately and in accordance with project specifications
About you
This role would suit a confident and technically capable engineer who is comfortable working within a fast-moving and demanding site environment.
You should have:
* Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer
* Strong setting-out experience across external works, paving, podiums, structural finishes or groundworks
* The ability to confidently interpret technical and structural drawings
* Experience raising RFIs and resolving design or engineering clashes
* An HNC or similar qualification in Civil Engineering is preferred
