Site Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join our esteemed client for a major highways scheme in Chesterfield. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a strong background in drainage and surfacing, as well as significant experience in setting out. The position is for night shifts and is initially for 12 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.

THIS ROLE IS PAYING INSIDE IR35

Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage site operations during night shifts.
·Carry out setting out duties accurately and efficiently.
·Ensure all drainage and surfacing activities are completed to the highest standards.
·Maintain and promote high health and safety standards on-site.
·Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure work is completed as per project specifications and timeline.
·Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
·Liaise with the project manager and provide regular updates on progress and any issues encountered.

Requirements:
·Proven experience in a similar role within the highways sector.
·Strong background in drainage and surfacing.
·Extensive experience in setting out.
·Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
·Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·Must be able to work night shifts.
