Site Engineer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Engineer to join our prestigious client for a National Highways scheme in Hull. This is a freelance position for an initial duration of 6 months, with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.

Paying INSIDE IR35

Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage all site engineering activities on the National Highways project
·Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and standards
·Setting out and surveying using the latest equipment (Robotic total station, GPS, laser levels)
·Monitor and report on project progress, maintaining accurate records
·Implement and oversee quality control procedures
·Identify and address potential issues or delays early
·Coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and workforce to ensure smooth project execution
·Conduct site inspections to ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met

Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Site Engineer in highways projects
·Experience with National Highways projects is highly desirable
·Proficient in using AutoCAD and Civils 3D for drawing and design work
·Strong knowledge of setting out techniques and equipment
·Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings and specifications
·Strong leadership and team management skills
·Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
·Relevant certifications (CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, etc.) are advantageous
