To help us create amazing partnerships we need amazing people. Canine Partners has an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our dedicated housekeeping team.

This is an incredible role at a prominent assistance dog charity where your role will be a part of our essential work that transforms lives every day.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for enabling our staff, volunteers, and clients to enjoy our fantastic facilities by maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the site. You will cover the main building areas such as the training arenas, offices, and meeting rooms as well as some outside areas. On occasion you will support the housekeepers in the turnaround of rooms and laundry for overnight guests.

What we are looking for:

Highly effective interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication.
Ability to take written and verbal instructions.
Ability to make accurate records.
Experience of providing cleaning for a small business.
Knowledge of COSHH.
Knowledge of health and safety practices (manual handling and working at heights).
An essential aspect of the role will be working at heights and low levels on a regular basis therefore you must have the physical capability to carry out these and other heavy duty cleaning tasks.
You must be comfortable to work largely independently as well as part of a team whilst being personable and approachable. You will have a keen interest in supporting the needs of the charity.

This role benefits from working at our purpose-built training centre in the rural countryside of Osgathorpe, Leicestershire. This is a working training centre therefore you must be comfortable with dogs in the workplace.

The regular working pattern for this role is 9 hours per week (3 days per week). Additional hours may be available on occasion.
