Site Agent - Water Infrastructure & Civil Engineering
South Wales
£55,000 - £68,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits
A leading civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across the utilities and infrastructure sectors is looking to appoint a Site Agent to deliver wastewater and water infrastructure projects throughout South Wales.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for delivering complex engineering projects safely and efficiently, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business where Site Agents are trusted with real responsibility and supported by experienced operational and engineering teams.
Applications are welcomed from experienced Site Agents, Sub Agents and Senior Site Engineers ready to step into a Site Agent position.
Projects typically include wastewater treatment and network infrastructure schemes, reinforced concrete structures, deep drainage, pipelines, attenuation systems, utility installations and associated civil engineering works.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will take ownership of project delivery from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Managing day-to-day site operations from planning through to completion
* Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
* Delivering projects in line with programme, budget and quality requirements
* Driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture
* Leading site teams and managing subcontractor performance
* Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and commercial teams
* Monitoring progress and resolving construction challenges
* Maintaining site records, reports and project documentation
* Supporting cost control, programme management and overall project performance
* Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and operational teams
Requirements
* Experience delivering civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, water or wastewater projects
* Previous experience as a Site Agent, Sub Agent or Senior Site Engineer
* Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works, deep drainage and water infrastructure construction
* Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and construction programmes
* Good understanding of project reporting and cost control
* Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
