Description:
Red Sky Personnel are recruiting an experienced Site Agent to be based in Brighton and deliver wastewater and sewage treatment works projects across the Southern Water region. This is a hybrid role: three days a week on site and two days a week working from home.
The Role
* Leading the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering works at wastewater and sewage treatment works for Southern Water, from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
* Managing multiple projects across the region, splitting your time between sites three days a week and home-based planning and reporting two days a week.
* Producing and managing programmes, monitoring progress against plan and resolving delays or clashes early.
* Managing the commercial position of your projects, including costs, valuations, variations and change.
* Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for the client, building strong working relationships and keeping them informed.
* Managing and directing site teams, supervisors and subcontractors, and ensuring work is delivered safely, to quality and on time.
* Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and health, safety and environmental requirements on live operational sites.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Site Agent, Engineer or Sub Agent or similar on civil engineering projects, ideally at wastewater or sewage treatment works or in the wider water sector.
* A civil engineering qualification (degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
* Strong planning skills, with the ability to build, manage and report on programmes.
* Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing costs, valuations and change.
* Confident dealing directly with clients on live operational sites.
* SMSTS and a valid CSCS card (Manager level), with a good understanding of CDM 2015.
* A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK. You will need to be able to travel to sites across the region.
Pay & Contract
* Salary of £60,000 to £67,000, depending on experience.
