Description:
Abatec is working with a leading, tier-one contractor in their field of renewable energy, for an experienced Site Agent on a freelance basis with long-term work ahead in Devon.
We are looking for candidates with a background in Civil Engineering, and experience in Earthworks, utilities, and groundworks.
As Site Agent you will:
* Manage day-to-day operations on site, including labour/plant/materials allocation, temporary works, health and safety.
* Ensure that projects are completed on budget, within programme deadlines and to our clients technical specifications.
* Liaise regularly with Contracts Managers, providing programme and progress reports.
* Identify and manage competence of the site team to identify any shortcomings ensuring delivery of the contract, ensuring team performance on the contract
* Study drawings and technical documents and raise technical queries for clarification of any conflicting information
Our client requires a Site Agent with:
* Experience of working in a similar position within the Civils sector
* Previous experience on earthworks projects
* SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS Managers card
* An ability to lead and direct, promoting a positive culture through inspirational leadership
Salary/Benefits:
* £325 - £375 CIS
