Site Agent - Highways construction
A leading civil engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Agent to join our team on the critical highways package.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the earthworks structures package, ensuring adherence to project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project resources effectively, including plant, machinery, and materials.
Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues related to excavation, fill, and compaction, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Maintain meticulous records of work progress and any issues that arise, including daily site diaries.
Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and enforcing the highest safety standards.
Contribute to the successful completion of the project, meeting deadlines and achieving the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Site Agent on large-scale highway or road construction projects, with a particular focus on earthworks.
A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to road construction, particularly in relation to earthworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing a team and collaborating with stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to achieving project goals on time and within budget.
A strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
