Description:
We’re working with a privately owned £100m turnover business to recruit a Site Agent for their Southern Office. They’re an established civil engineering contractor with over 60 years in the sector, delivering projects up to £30m for governing bodies, private clients, the EA, wildlife conservations and more. Their reputation is outstanding, and they have a real drive to encourage and develop their workforce.
The Site Agent role is required after a couple of successful project awards as well as the region securing a place on frameworks which will also require more resources. There will be plenty of variety in the projects including bridges and structures, public regeneration work, tunnels, road widening, new bypasses and bulk earthworks.
Experience of working in this sector is key as you will take ownership of your projects by managing costs, quality and programme whilst maintaining a positive relationship with the client.
The business are keen to speak to established Site Agents as well as Senior Engineers and Sub Agents looking to step into management and run projects of their own.
Duties will include:
* Writing risk assessments and method statements
* Working with the commercial team to manage change and EWN
* Overall responsibility of health and safety
* Managing design and quality of the project
* Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme
