Salary: £50,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: Continental Shift

About the Client: Our client is a prominent property management company based in Paddington, London, renowned for their commitment to excellence in maintaining and managing commercial and residential properties. They are currently seeking a skilled Shift Technician to join their team and contribute to the smooth operation of their buildings through planned and reactive maintenance.

Role Overview: As a leading recruitment agency, we are representing our client in their search for a dedicated Shift Technician with expertise in either electrical or mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance primarily to the landlord side of the building, ensuring optimal functionality and tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks on electrical or mechanical systems.

* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical faults, implementing effective solutions.

* Perform preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.

* Collaborate with team members and external contractors to complete maintenance projects efficiently.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed and parts used.

* Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Technician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.

* Strong knowledge of either electrical or mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.

* Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, HNC, BEng or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering.

* Ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment, including weekends and public holidays as required.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, colleagues, and contractors.

* Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.

* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices within the facilities management sector.
