Shift Manager, East of Rugby area, 4 on 4 off days 6am – 4pm, Up to £38,000, pension, life assurance.

Arlington Moore is working with a hugely successful £multi-billion organization who are looking for a Shift Manager to manage a 24/7 operation on a 4 on 4 off days basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a career focused Production Shift Manager who is well versed in working in an FMCG production environment.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shift Production Manager will be responsible for managing production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets and to be a role model for best practice and provide support to Line Leaders and the wider team.

The Shift Production manager will be responsible for

* Maximising production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis

* Effectively motivating a team of people to meet production targets

* Ensuring the final product meets client specifications

* Promoting best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations

* Ensuring GMP and housekeeping are strictly adhered to

* Assisting in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers

* Assisting in the identification and development of Line Leaders to promote success planning

* Assisting in the training and development of new starters

* Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste

* Playing an active part in continuous improvement

Desired experience of the Shift Production Manager

* Used to working to hourly Targets

* Supervision and coaching experience

* Preferably food or packing experience

* Experience of working in a customer led environment with changing priorities

* Fosters an open and collaborative culture

* Listens and encourages new ideas from others

* Able to positively lead a team of people

* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines

* A commitment to respond to changing customer needs

* Able to work towards targets

* Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement

* Displays a positive attitude to change

* Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance, to achieve service objectives
