Production Shift Manager - Food Production
Location: Ledbury
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday rotating shifts: 5am - 2pm / 1:30pm - 10:30pm
Salary £35,000
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to join a fast-paced food production and packaging facility in Ledbury. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient and compliant operations across a busy production shift.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee daily production activities to ensure output targets are consistently met
Monitor operations and quickly resolve any issues to minimize downtime
Lead, support and motivate a team of operatives and supervisors across your shift
Deliver clear pre-shift briefings, setting expectations and priorities
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and performance management
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations
Carry out regular checks to maintain operational and quality standards
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction
Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
About you:
Experience in a supervisory or management role within food manufacturing or a similar production environment
Strong understanding of UK food safety and health & safety standards
Confident leader with ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
Comfortable using production systems and reporting tools
Food safety or management qualifications are an advantage
