Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.
They are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to lead the operation, drive improvements and develop various teams.
Role & Responsibilities of the Shift Manager:
Working closely with the other Shift Managers, leading a team of X3 team leaders & X40 staff
When working on the night shift, be the most senior person on site
Carry out shift handovers, floor walks speaking to team members and team leaders
Monitor production plans, overlook reports, KPi performance management
Training and performance management of team leaders
Manage factory workflow, planning, identify areas of improvement, maximise output
Work closely with engineering, safety, quality, sales & planning teams
Knowledge, Skills & Experience need to be a Shift Manager:
Proactive person - leading from the shopfloor
Must have worked in a busy manufacturing operation previously
Managed a similar size team / structure
Able to demonstrate solid leadership skills and ownership
Target and results driven person
Six Sigma, IOSH, ILM qualified
Strong decision making skills - able to make things happen strategically when on night shift
Knowledge of lean manufacturing - 5S, Kaizen, RCA
