Job title: Senior Shift Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias)
Location: St James Hospital Leeds Oncology Bexley Wing Leeds LS9 7TF
Length: 3 months temporary contract to permanent
Work hours: The shifts are 4 days then 4 off then 4 nights 4 off. 6am till 6pm and 6pm to 6am
Pay Rate: £17.69/hour PAYE (£15.38 + then with the 15% shift allowance on top)
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting a Senior Shift Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias) for a FM Services and Engineering company.
In this role you will work alongside a dynamic maintenance team to deliver the required services, ensuring the Hospital is maintained to the highest standard. Some of other duties include;

Lead the shift team and provide support to working colleagues
*
Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures.

Participate in a rotating shift pattern in order to provide a 24/7/365 service
*
Provide cover for absent colleagues as appropriate to maintain the service
*
Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.
*
Be able to maintain, service and repair a wide range of the building services listed below
*
Heating and domestic water services
*
General Electrical services such as lighting and power
*
Air handling units
*
Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear
*
Emergency standby generating plant
*
Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
*
Electrical control systems
*
Building Management System
*
Have an awareness of the operational procedures and safe working practices of major items of plant and systems as described above
*
Maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate. Providing regular reports on progress to your line manager
Key Skills/Experience:
*
Previous experience in the same role
*
Qualified time served engineer with minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience required
*
Healthcare experience desirable but not essential
*
Cross-trade experience advantageous
