MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join an established Engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting the site's ongoing continuous improvement programme.
As a Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and process equipment, ensuring maximum plant availability, and supporting operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
* Working collaboratively with Production, Technical and Engineering teams.
* Assisting with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
* Ensuring all engineering work is completed in line with Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety standards.
* What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer.
* Background within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing or another fast-paced production environment.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
* Experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
* A recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
* A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
