Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical biased)

Location: Corby
Salary: £55 000 + Shift Allowance + On-Call Allowance + Benefits
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts (Days, Afternoons & Nights)

We are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice-trained engineer to join a highly automated production environment where safety, continuous improvement and engineering excellence are at the heart of operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting production, and driving improvements across site equipment and processes.

The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities
Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment
Supporting production teams to maximise machine uptime and efficiency
Fault finding on PLC, HMI, SCADA and control systems
Completing maintenance records accurately through the CMMS system
Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance
Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
Working with contractors and reviewing permits and safe systems of work where required
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and food-safe engineering practicesAbout You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

Essential

Apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Food manufacturing or FMCG experience
Experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, DCS or SCADA systems
Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques
Experience using a CMMS maintenance management system
Familiarity with instrument calibration activities
Strong problem-solving and communication skillsDesirable

HNC or HND in Engineering
17th/18th Edition Electrical Qualification
IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
Experience working in COMPEX, CHP or ETP environments
Experience managing contractorsShift Pattern

This position operates on a rotating shift pattern:

6:00am to 2:00pm
8:00am to 4:00pm
2:00pm to 10:00pm
10:00pm to 6:00am (Sunday to Thursday nights)You will also participate in an on-call rota of 1 weekend in 4.
