SHEQ/QHSE MANAGER
KINGSWINFORD

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a QHSE Manager, working within Operations. This role will work with all areas of the manufacturing & plant team in deploying a quality management system.

This is a new appointment so being dynamic to set up systems, and processes will be key to achieving our visual goals, driving updates and changes to the system and ensuring all departmental managers understand requirements. i.e. quality analysis and cost of poor quality.

Someone with the confidence to implement change and structure and drive continual improvements would suit this role, a passionate and strong candidate that is used to implementing change.

As the post holder, you will be responsible for project programs of work, bringing your practical hands-on experience along with a passion for QHSE thinking & knowledge, to enhance the company's capabilities. The individual will report to the Operation Manager and dotted line to Group Compliance Manager & Operations Director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the onsite implementation of QMS throughout the company, with support from group QMS manager.
Assist in developing, implement, and maintaining the company's health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems, including ISO9001.
Key contact for customer and external body complaints and assisting / directing customer service and field staff in their investigations.
Assist in driving a culture of quality throughout the business.
Work as part of the team and lead teams producing FMEAs, risk management plans and risk management reports.
Create reports on site QMS quality / environmental / safety performance, for review at senior management and board level.
Attend daily meetings to report on quality issues and performance.
Support department managers in H&S for all areas.
Assist in directing auditing team to ensure completion of internal audit schedule.
Work with suppliers to investigate root cause analysis and work with them to achieve permanent corrective actions.
Support environmental auditing and reporting for the site.
Work alongside purchasing and materials management teams in creating supplier performance reporting.
Liaise with suppliers on PPAP requirements and new product introduction in line with Prism process.
Support continuous improvement teams in the creation of new product lines and the improvement of existing product lines.
Support teams in creation of SOPs and work instructions combining Safety Quality
Support in producing company literature (instructions for use etc.).
Liaise with R&D department in the testing of new products.
Person Specification/Qualifications/Education and essential experience
Minimum of 5 years' quality & QMS experience required.
Experience of working in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001 (ISO13485 & ISO 14001 would be desirable)
Excellent quality systems knowledge
Internal auditing qualified (desirable)
Experience within Manufacturing
NEBOSH qualified (desirable)
Experience working as part of a quality function previously.
Experience working in a QHSE role.
Experience of liaising with suppliers on complaints and PPAP submissions.
Experience of supporting implementation of QMS within a business.
Experience of problem-solving techniques. (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa etc.)
