Sheltered Housing Officer

Description:

We are working with one of our clients in Renfrewshire to recruit to their Sheltered Housing team. They are looking for a Senior Sheltered Housing Officer (35 hours PW) and Sheltered Housing Officer (18 hours PW) to offer short term support.

You will provide services to tenants in the Council’s Care Inspectorate registered Sheltered Housing complexes and will be responsible for delivering key tasks across the complexes.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Be responsible for the security of the tenants and the building as far as it is practicable.
- Act with tact and sensitivity as an adviser and friend to all tenants, completing forms with tenants and representing tenants in discussions with other professionals from a variety of organisations e.g. social workers, GPs, community nurses, home care supervisors, pharmacists.
- Assist new tenants to settle into the sheltered housing complexes by giving advice on all facilities available e.g. warden call system, fire & intruder alarm, laundry and common lounge. Ensure that the tenants understand the information.
- Carry out duties in a way that complies with the Customer Service Pledges for the service and report performance against key performance indicators every month.
