Sheet Metal Worker
Andover
£18.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / TIG & MIG Welder to join a busy engineering environment. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and welding, who is confident working from drawings and producing high-quality work.
Sheet Metal Worker Roles and Responsibilities:
* Carry out TIG and MIG welding on a range of sheet metal components
* Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts to specification
* Use guillotines and brake presses to cut and form sheet metal
* Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
* Measure and check components to ensure accuracy
* Carry out general sheet metalwork and fabrication
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Sheet Metal Worker Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication
* Strong TIG and MIG welding experience
* Experience using guillotines and brake presses
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, hardworking and keen to get stuck in
Sheet Metal Working Hours:
* Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
* 37.5 hours a week
