My Client is currently looking for an experience SHE Advisor for a 6 months contract in the Sussex, Kent area
About the Role
Our client, who is working on a joint venture, is seeking an experienced Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to support CMDP, a Southern Water Joint Venture. Based throughout the Southern Water region, primarily in Sussex and Kent, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and contribute to the development of the regional safety strategy.
As a SHE Advisor, you will report directly to the Head of SHEQ and will be responsible for the following:
Supporting regional management teams in compliance with health and safety legislation.
Implementing HSE guidance and best practices.
Conducting systematic audits and inspections of construction sites, offices, and other workplaces.
Investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and propose improvements.
Assisting with risk assessments and safety-related documentation.
Liaising with clients, HSE Inspectors, and external assessors.
About You
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Extensive experience in health and safety within the Water Treatment or Construction industry.
Knowledge of current statutory health and safety law in the UK.
Familiarity with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
Knowledge and experience of ISO 45001 (or similar management systems).
Formal qualification in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
Possession of a CSCS card or affiliated scheme (SHEA Water).
