Description:
We are recruiting for some experienced sewing machinists for our client in Somerset. The business makes trendy office furniture so daily activities will primarily be upholstery and using industrial sewing machines.
Work involves:
* Cutting and sewing fabrics for furniture manufacture on flat and overlock machines including using cutting machine
* Cutting and shaping materials with hand and machine tools
* Working out the quantity and type of materials needed
* Setting the cutting machine
* Sewing different fabric types
* Changing machine settings
* Checking finished work against the pattern instructions
* Cleaning and routine daily maintenance on machines
* Sewing different fabrics like cotton, wool, leather or industrial textiles
Interview and stitch test
Monday-Friday 7:30-16:30, early finish Friday's
