Job Title: Settling In Facilitator (Part Time)
Hours: 29.6 hours/week, 4 days per week
Location: HMP Elmley, Sheerness
Salary: £25,372 to £29,148 (Pro Rata)
Role Overview:
As a Settling-In Facilitator, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality emotional resilience training sessions to prisoners. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in training and collaborating with peer mentors to provide ongoing support during the initial stages of an individual’s prison experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with prison departments and other delivery organisations within the prison to raise awareness and ensure successful referral to the programme.
Delivering the emotional resilience training within the prison induction process.
To engage with prison and management at all levels, developing the programme and providing updates or adjustments as required.
Provide flexible, high-quality workshops to support new prisoners to develop the skills to enable them to manage their emotions, deal with difficult situations and seek help where needed.
Work with prisoners through follow up sessions to enable them to manage and maintain their personal wellbeing.
Identify, train and support a group of Peer Mentors so that they can deliver aspects of the programme, and provide ongoing support to the participants.
Maintain accurate records and provide these to the Area Manager and Regional Manager in line with agreed timescales.

Person Specification
A commitment to undertake all necessary training for the role.
Hold an education award or be prepared undertake this training.
Experience of Microsoft products and ability to use them effectively, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong communication Skills.
Patience and Empathy.
