Setting Out Engineer
(Groundworks & Externals)
Location: Suffolk
Rate: £300 - £350 per day
Duration: Approximately 12 months
Start Date: ASAP
Equipment: Provided on site
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a long-term project in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in groundworks and external works to join a busy site team on a 12-month contract.
Working closely with the site management team, you will be responsible for setting out and supporting the delivery of groundworks and external infrastructure packages to programme and specification.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting out for groundworks and external works packages.
* Checking line and level requirements.
* Carrying out site surveys and measurements.
* Producing and maintaining accurate records.
* Ensuring works are completed in line with design drawings and specifications.
* Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and operatives.
* Assisting with quality assurance and as-built information.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
* Strong background in groundworks, drainage, roads, foundations, kerbing, hard landscaping, and external works.
* Competent using surveying equipment and setting out instruments.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* CSCS card required.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Right to work in the UK.
Package
* £300 - £350 per day via cis Payroll.
* Approximately 12-month contract.
* Long-term project with immediate start.
* Site equipment provided.
* ASAP start available.
