Contract Setting Out Engineer – Groundwork Sector
Connect Grp UK Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable Groundwork company for a Contract Setting Out Engineer. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals with a background in Civil Engineering to contribute to large-scale groundwork projects based in Essex. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in setting out within the civil engineering and groundwork sectors, ensuring precision and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer within civil engineering or groundwork projects.
Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Excellent knowledge of setting out procedures, surveying techniques, and use of related equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans accurately.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Setting out and marking positions for groundworks and civil engineering structures in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
Using precision surveying equipment to ensure measurements meet design requirements.
Collaborating with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate setting out activities.
Monitoring the progress of setting out work to ensure it aligns with project timelines and standards.
Documenting setting out data, maintaining records of measurements, and reporting any discrepancies or issues encountered on site.
