Setting Out Engineer

Linsco is recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor delivering residential, commercial, educational, and infrastructure projects across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The Role
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate setting out and surveying activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings.
Carry out setting out and surveying activities, providing accurate lines and levels.
Monitor site progress against programme deadlines.
Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
Maintain site records, ITPs, and as-built drawings.
Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and company procedures.
Build strong working relationships across site teams.
Support junior engineers and site personnel where required.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
Previous experience in a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer role, ideally within residential construction.
Commercial construction experience advantageous.
Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and setting out procedures.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS card.
