Contract: Contract position
Rate: £300-£400 per day, depending on experience
Duration: Until January 2027

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer / Senior Site Engineer to join a civil engineering and structures contractor working on a major HS2 bridge project in Banbury.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) frames and structures, who is comfortable taking responsibility for setting out as a key part of their role.
The successful candidate will work closely with the site and engineering teams to ensure works are delivered accurately, safely and in accordance with the project requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Setting out and surveying structural and civil engineering works.
Providing accurate engineering support to the site team.
Working on reinforced concrete frames and structural elements.
Checking dimensions, levels, coordinates and alignment.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.
Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Engineer and wider engineering team.
Supporting the delivery of works in accordance with programme, quality and safety requirements.
Assisting with technical queries and resolving setting-out issues on site.Requirements

Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer.
Strong experience working on RC frame / reinforced concrete structures.
Confident carrying out setting out as a significant part of the role.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of construction surveying and engineering principles.
Previous experience working on bridge projects would be highly desirable.
Previous experience within major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent site experience.What's on Offer
