Here at Kingston College, we are looking to appoint a Sessional Lecturer to teach BTEC Level 3 Criminology to A Level plus students. The role is for 4 hours per week, either on a Monday or a Tuesday.

You will prepare students for exams, mark in class work, homework and mock exams, student monitoring, and where appropriate, curriculum development. The expectation is that high levels of student attainment will be achieved.

As our Sessional Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent teaching skills or experience with Criminology. We’d like you to have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, and the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress. Receptive to new ideas and initiatives and with a creative approach to problem solving, you will have an awareness of academic quality standards and be able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

Please note that this post is funded for the 2024/25 academic year so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2024.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
