About the role
​‘Gyda’n Gilydd’, which translates as ‘Together’, is an exciting new project that represents ASC’s Service User/Carer involvement commitment.
​Gyda’n Gilydd aims to involve current and former users of ASC’s advocacy services, Experts by Experience, as volunteers within the organisation to undertake a range of specific tasks that will help us monitor and continuously improve the quality of our advocacy services. It will promote social inclusion; providing volunteers with opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and training for personal wellbeing and employment.
​We are seeking a part-time Engagement Officer, tasked with coordinating and implementing the project in its early stages as well as supervision of volunteers and establishing volunteering at the heart of our organisation.
About you
You will have significant experience working in a service user involvement/ volunteer coordinator role as well as a proven track record in supporting individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds to achieve their goals.
Essential Information
This role is based in our Cardiff Office in St Mellon’s but the area of operational is the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board Area. You must be able to drive and have access to a car during the working week.
The salary band for the role is £23,980 based on a 37 hour week.
This role is part time at 21 hours per week, and is fixed term for 1 year.
All successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check.
