This role is part of a large multiyear Service transformation programme that aims to build a Service Management function to better support the organization

The Exit Planning Manager will oversee the termination process of multi large contractual service agreements, ensuring that all exit activities are tested and when the time comes, completed smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires meticulous planning, effective communication, and comprehensive knowledge of contract management. Additionally, the role involves managing the transition and changeover in insourcing or outsourcing commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Exit Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement detailed exit plans for the termination of contracts.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Insource/Outsource Strategy Transition:
- Manage the transition and changeover of commercial strategies between insourcing and outsourcing.
- Develop and implement transition plans to ensure a smooth changeover with minimal disruption.
- Coordinate with service providers and internal teams to facilitate the transition process.
- Evaluate and document the performance of current outsourcing arrangements and identify potential improvements or opportunities through insourcing or re-outsourcing.

Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all exit activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all exit activities, including communications, documentation, and approvals.

Resource Coordination:
- Coordinate with various departments (e.g., legal, finance, IT) to ensure resources are allocated for exit activities.
- Oversee the transfer of responsibilities and assets as required

Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor the progress of exit activities against the plan.
- Identify and address any deviations from the plan in a timely manner.

Knowledge Transfer:
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and documentation to relevant parties.
- Ensure continuity and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Leadership Vision & Objectives: Drive the vision and translate into delivery objectives for all teams. Lead contract exit to deliver the business case benefits and outcomes.

Communications & Senior Stakeholder Management: Manage internal and external senior stakeholder relationships and highlight need for senior level support. Ability to collaborate effectively at all levels with diverse stakeholder groups. Exceptional communication, presentation and reporting skills.

Strategy & Plan: Work with stakeholders to update and agree the Contract Exit Strategy and Plan.

Performance & Controls: Own and drive delivery of the plan for the exit of the legacy services for each in-scope contract including assurance activities. Manage and monitor the progress of exit using the agreed metrics.

Risks & Issues: Own and drive all risk and issue management related to exit of the in-scope contracts. Ensure mitigations are in place and resolved through negotiated agreements.

Dependency Management: Work with project & service leads, business as usual and 3rd party suppliers to ensure dependencies are actively managed and raise identified issues so they can be resolved as soon as possible.

Key Skills/Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management or project management.
Proven experience in managing contract terminations or transitions.
Experience with insourcing and outsourcing strategies and their implementation.
Excellent experience of procurement
Be able to demonstrate experience of exit management.
