Location: Hertfordshire
35 hour week + great benefits!
A leading technology manufacturer is seeking a Service Technician to join its Service Centre team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, calibrating, cleaning, fault-finding, and repairing specialist fusion splicer equipment, ensuring repairs are completed to the highest quality standards while achieving productivity and efficiency targets.
Key Responsibilities as a Service Technician
Calibrate, service, clean, and repair specialist fusion splicer products.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
Meet agreed repair quality and efficiency targets.
Record service and repair information accurately using the company ERP system.
Follow company quality, health and safety, and service procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
Candidate Requirements as a Service Technician
Previous experience servicing or repairing small electro-mechanical devices requiring precision handling.
Strong practical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
Experience working with electro-mechanical and/or opto-electronic technologies.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Competent using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
