Description:

My client are recruiting for 2 x Service Support Managers to join their fantastic team within the Supported Living Sector, providing support to individuals with learning disabilities and additonal needs.

Their head office is close to Southend on Sea, Essex, however the role will also involve remote working within the services located around Essex, so a full driving licence is essential for this position.
This hugely rewarding role is to support the Service Seniors and to develop the skills and knowledge to enable them to run a safe and effective service , whilst meeting the needs of the service users with a person-centred approach, enabling the services users to live an independent life whilst supporting lifestyle choices, daily living tasks and wellbeing.
To ensure all aspects of management of the company are met within the Health and Social Care Act and the requirements of CQC whilst working within the KLOE’s and the company’s compliance are met, together with all other relative legislative requirements.
Main duties:

Weekly / Monthly audits of the services required action plans & compliance checks.
Spot checks / Compliance Checks on staff within the services.
Supporting the seniors to update Risk Assessments & Care Plans when required.
Attending service users’ reviews as required.
Attend monthly meetings within the services & monthly seniors’ meetings.
Carry out medication competencies with all Seniors.
Carry out regular supervisions and annual appraisals with seniors in line with company procedures and standards.
Meeting with the Registered and Deputy Manager on a weekly basis for reports and action plans
Ensure each service meets Health & Safety and Infection Control regulations and guidance.
To ensure good quality working relationships are built and maintained between staff and the service users they are supporting.
To build and develop working relationships with families and external professionals.
Carry out investigations if required.
Be part of the On – Call Rota (1 in 3)Knowledge & skills required:

3 years recent and significant experience of working within a Health and Social Care Setting.
Good leadership & people skills.
Working in partnership with other professionals e.g., health, local authority, CQC.
Experience of managing an effective team.
Ability to write reports.
Ability to chair meetings.
IT literate – Word, Outlook, Excel.
Experience of auditing process and outcomes.
Have an understanding of Relevant legislation’s e.g., MCA, DOL’s, Safeguarding & Health & Safety Act.Personal Qualities & Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or above – Health & Social Care.
Diploma Level 3 – Health & Social Care.
Ability to recognise and develop individual skills & qualities in others.
Ability to be Flexible and Manage own Workload .
Ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual’s being supported, their carers and professional colleagues.
Hold a Full Driving Licence.Working Hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
On call payment of £100 every three weeks
