Defour Partnership (Social Care) are working with an award winning Social Care Charity recruiting for a Service Leader in Hayling Island.

More about the role and who you will be supporting:

This is a great opportunity to manage 2 services (which are going through the deregistration process) for adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities on Hayling Island. Making a genuine difference, where you will be responsible for leading an engaged and motivated team to change lives and deliver person-centred outcomes for every person we support. You will also take the lead by driving performance, setting the pace and direction within services, promoting a positive and passionate culture, and ensuring that services are appropriately and effectively resourced to change lives for the better.

The role will involve managing both services with a total of up to 10 individuals receiving in the region of 900 hours of support between them. Due to the needs of the people supported across these services, knowledge and experience of working with people with Learning disabilities, Autism and complex health needs is essential for this role. You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.

A key element of this opportunity will include the creation and development of care and aspirational support plans to assist people to develop independence and achieve individual outcomes. Prior experience of this will be essential in this role.

As a skilled manager and leader you will be responsible for the overall supervision, quality assurance, monitoring, regulatory requirements and day to day management of staff. The responsibilities for this role are centred on the delivery, quality, financial stability and the on-going development of the services.

The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the 24-hour management of the services ensuring that all aspects of support and service delivery are person centred, staff are valued and we achieve the best possible outcomes in all aspects of service delivery. (will also entail working on an on call rota).

You will also be committed to person centred planning and positive risk taking with a real passion for improvement and continuous development.

It is essential you are a driver with a full UK license.

In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England) or higher.
