SERVICE MANAGER – FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Location: Lympstone, Devon | Salary: £42,000–£45,000 | Permanent | Site-based
HVAC Recruitment is looking for a Service Manager to oversee hard facilities management and building maintenance across a complex estate in Lympstone. A great opportunity for a Facilities Manager, Maintenance Manager or Hard Services Manager who enjoys ownership of service delivery and customer relationships.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, statutory checks and minor works.
• Coordinate engineers and subcontractors; monitor budgets, contract KPIs and service quality.
• Maintain compliance with RAMS, permits, CDM, fire safety, asbestos and legionella requirements.
• Oversee small works and temporary works coordination where relevant.
• Keep accurate maintenance and asset records on CAFM systems.
• Build effective relationships with operational stakeholders and improve service performance.
You will need:
• Experience managing hard FM, planned/reactive maintenance and subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
• Strong communication, organisational and customer-service skills.
• A qualification in building services, engineering or FM, or equivalent experience.
• CAFM knowledge (Maximo or similar); IOSH, SMSTS or CDM/temporary works training is an advantage.
