As a Service Manager for Street Scene and our brand new Neighbourhood Enforcement Operation, you will play a vital role for not only ensuring that the members of the Street Scene Service Function are well managed, happy at work and effective, but also that the service function delivers on strategy and performance.
Safety is an absolute priority for our client, and you will ensure that your team understand this. You will ensure that Health and Safety is a key element in the way in your team works and create a way of working that puts Health and Safety at the forefront and centre of everything the team do.
Key role of the job
To participate in HR functions within the department.
To effectively be the strategic lead, manage and direct a large team of professional staff, frontline operational workforce, and service delivery contracts within the Street Scene service.
To deliver transformation, ensuring the sustainable delivery of an effective, efficient, and compliant service.
Manage budgets within the service and identify cost savings. You will be responsible for assets, human resource, overtime and equipment.
Develop, promote, and manage the direct service provision through the delivery of policies, procedures and working practices which will provide an integrated service and ensure our client adopts nationally recognised good practices to provide maximum efficiency, flexibility and value to its service delivery whilst complying with its statutory, regulatory, advisory, and strategic responsibilities.
Engage with the wider business at SWISCo to integrate the department and collaborate; one team, one goal.
Represent SWISCo on behalf of Torbay Council at a local, regional and national level at forums

Some weekend work and Bank holidays required must have a valid drivers licence.
