Description:

Our client is looking to recruit an ambitious and customer-focused Service Manager to join their team. The company are established within their field and are renowned for providing exceptional service to their customers at all times.

Based in Bicester, within this position you will be coordinating a busy field service team, and demonstrating excellent organisation ensuring efficient running of the service department.

The hours of work will consist of 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

Duties of the role:

* Manage the service department and a team of engineers.

* Plan and coordinate machine servicing across the UK.

* Take calls relating to machine breakdowns and offer solutions.

* Plan and coordinate the engineer’s schedules covering breakdowns, installations and services.

* Liaise with engineers in the field to keep them up to date of with requirements, additionally ensure that customers are kept up to date with frequent and relevant updates.

* Arrange timescales and deliveries of machines, to and from customer sites.

* Prepare reports on services and breakdowns for invoicing and processing contracts.

* Conduct staff appraisals.

* Communicate with suppliers to ensure deliveries are placed and received in a timely manner.

* Create and present reports to senior management.

Personal Attributes:

* Have strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise tasks effectively.

* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

* Be confident in problem solving and providing the highest levels of customer service.

* Demonstrate strong leadership skills whilst being approachable.

* Be focused, determined and resilient under pressure.

* Display good computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office packages and ideally have Sage experience.

Experience within manufacturing or engineering would be seen as advantageous but is not required.

Offering £38,000-£44,000 per annum dependent on experience and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, this is an exciting and challenging role that will allow you to develop your leadership and customer service skills.
