Service management (SC/NPPV3/CTC) consultant
Inside IR35
Day Rate: On request (Request made by end client)
Location: SW London

My client currently is a supplier into a London based Law Enforcement agency, supplying a full PMO team solution working on a Digital transformation programme. End client is in need of Service Management consultant with the official title as Head of Applications.

They will act as a bridge between the suppliers and the business users, providing a point of contact for the business, and ensuring that the suppliers are aware of the Application and Business drivers as well as validating that the application is deployed into the live environment, in accordance with the overarching plan, contract and DDaT standards.

Essential that applicant has experience working in complex structures in an outsourced environment, in order to bridge the service and understand the true service measurements. An experienced IT supplier/service manager is needed to manage support teams, evaluate performance metrics and to develop and maintain processes by which external suppliers work with our internal teams to deliver the overall service.

Knowledge
ITILv3 qualified, with knowledge and experience of Major Incidents, Problem, Incident, Change, Risk, Security, Supplier Management processes.
Management of multiple suppliers in a complex outsourced environment, as well as delivering a unified service with a mix of internal and external teams.
Experienced in running meetings in order to asses supplier service performance and assess the overall quality of the service.
Ability to steer and develop operational reporting, and to use this to drive supplier activity.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation and achieving results by influencing others.
Excellent analytical skills: ability to analyse a range of information sources, resolve potentially conflicting information and reach meaningful conclusions.
Excellent stakeholder and supplier management.
Ability to use specialist knowledge of business and mobile services to provide support and challenge users, suppliers and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Team leadership, planning and organising in a very busy environment.
Good planning, coordination and monitoring skills e.g. for management of issues or project initiatives.
Strong mediation and negotiation skills for managing competing stakeholders.
Experience
Previous experience of working within a complex outsourced environment based on a largely oursourced Service Management model.
Previous experience managing multiple suppliers and the various services they provide.
Experience of working in a high pressured environment and dealing with senior stakeholders.
Customer relationship management and customer focused service delivery.
Minimum 5 years’ experience of IT service management, particualry in complex environments.
CTC Vetting is essential.
