About the Role
We are currently searching for a reliable, committed expert in their field to join my client as a Service Engineer. This role will play an integral part in helping to achieve our strategic aim of becoming Europe’s No.1 premium perimeter protection brand.
This role will be field based and the successful candidate must live around the Bristol area. The role comes with regular travel across the country as we service sites nationally, however the primary function would be to cover your local area. As we operate nationally, there will be occasional overnight stays.
We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to provide technical support both within the company/group and to external customers. You will be confident in fault finding, diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance. You will use your knowledge and expertise to provide solutions and will be performing maintenance functions on products installed. This role involves interpreting and understanding electrical wiring diagrams, technical drawings and documentation.

About You
Essential:
* Electrical qualifications 17th or 18th Edition
* Good working level of ICT skills on applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
* Possess a logical approach to determine and address the root cause of problems.
* Full UK Driving Licence
* High level of attention to detail
* Effective communication skills
* Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
* Positive work ethic
* Committed to delivering the utmost service/support to the business and our customers
* Reliable team player

* Wealth of experience working within a similar role
* Good knowledge of perimeter protection products

* The ability to read wiring diagrams
* Demonstrable knowledge in the use of multi-meters and Meggers
Desirable
* DBS
* Be able to provide previous evidence of SC/ CTC clearance or be willing to undertake and obtain this ( organised by CLIENT )
* AGSD – Will ideally already have this qualification in date or be able to pass a 2 day course – organised by CLIENT – Must have this to be able to work on gates /barriers legally
* Experience within the construction or engineering industry
* Previous experience of work undertaken on different types of gates/barriers
