Engineering Coordinator
Ipswich, Suffolk
I am currently working with an established bespoke Engineering business with over 100 years experience within their field. Working with a number of industries providing power for agriculture, mills factories, pumps etc.
This is a great opportunity for someone to join an long-standing team supporting the Engineering team with the daily activities, planning and organising the workload.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in similar roles within the commercial truck, automotive, plant engineering, agricultural engineering, or other mechanical engineering service controller positions with a good understanding of the engineering processes & ability to communicate internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
•Organising and planning daily activities to meet customer requirements.
•Keeping customers informed of updates on work being carried out and providing support to engineers.
•Collaboration with internal departments to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
•Managing and organising out-of-hours callouts when required.
•Covering for the Service Operations Manager and Technical Sales Manager in their absence.
•Resolving issues related to customer orders and engineer visits.
•Processing engineers' job cards to create and invoice end users using IT-based systems.
•Utilising management systems and MS tools for daily operations.
•Maintaining flexibility in daily activities and working seamlessly as part of a team.
•Managing customer expectations while delivering excellent customer service.
•Self-motivation to prioritize activities and handle customer queries and issues.
•Processing warranty claims and service and oil analysis reports.
•Providing quotations for planned service and remedial work.
•Liaising with suppliers, ordering parts, and managing materials.
Experience:
•Knowledge and understanding of IT, with confidence in using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
•Ability to learn and use various management systems.
•Strong multitasking skills in a busy environment.
•Adaptability to changing workloads and flexibility to suit department needs.
•Self-motivation to work within a team.
•Confidence in communicating and dealing with customers, manufacturers, and staff in a professional manner, both face-to-face and through various communication channels.
Additional Information:
•Position: Engineer Co-Ordinator
•Location: Ipswich
•Salary: £28,000+
•Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 5pm (1 hour for lunch)
