Highly Experienced Service Engineer - REQUIRED TO TRAVEL within and outside UK Cabel UK Limited is a Company specialising in the electro-mechanical industry, specifically in the repair and rewinding of rotating electrical equipment. Our skilled and experienced workforce offers support and service across a variety of global market sectors and industries. Cabel UK Limited is looking for an highly experienced Service Engineer, with min 5 years experience of repairing, overhauling alternators, electric motors, generators and transformers. The successful applicant must also have the ability to provide sound technical support to clients/customers both within the UK and worldwide.

Essential Skills: Experience in Repair, Service & Maintenance:

· fault diagnosis both at Cabel and at site (client/customer) where required/requested, either in UK/Europe and further afield across the globe, therefore flexibility to travel is key.

· experience in conducting health checks of machines

· material/component resource and balancing.

· experience in using high-grade resins, impregnation techniques i.e. ‘dip and bake’ heavy-duty process, through the trickle processes or VPI systems

· experience in testing of machines.

· Experience in rewinding electric motors, alternators & transformers:

· Experience in rewinding and assembly of low voltage AC motors and alternators.

· Knowledge of motor components which may be serviced at the same time the motor is overhauled.

· Experience with Transformers that may fail due to fault of physical

Other Essentials Skills required:

· Electro/Mechanical Background

· Experience as a Field Service Engineer in electrical rotating equipment

· The successful applicant must have very strong experience behind them

· Ability to work on own initiative and pro-actively,

· common sense

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbally essential as there is a small amount of paperwork to be completed at times to meet needs of customers/clients and internal departments

· Full UK Driving licence required due to need to travel/deliver to various client/customer locations as and when required.

· Applicants must live in the UK and have settled status to work in UK as the candidate will be required to attend the main site in Oakham when not off-site.

Hours of Work : min 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (core service operation hours are (Apply online only)hrs, however due to nature of the role out of hours working may be required to meet needs of our customers/clients including including weekends/bank holidays.

Location: Cabel UK operates out of its head office in Oakham, however candidates not residing within local area to Oakham may be considered, but will be required to attend main site to support workshop when not attending jobs on customer/client sites. The latter is due to team collaboration and support of on-site workshops/training.

Salary/Benefits:

Salary: Attractive Package (dependant on experience) £35,000 plus dependant on experience Benefits: Attractive Profit Bonus Share Scheme 5% contributed Company Pension scheme 26 days holiday (inclusive of 6 Bank Holidays) plus 2 Bank Holidays (Xmas Day and New Years Day). Holiday entitlement increases with service upto max of 31 days holiday.
