Description:

Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a strong mechanical and electrical background?

This is a varied field-based role involving the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment at customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas.

You will become a technical expert in the company's machinery, providing high-quality service and technical support while always representing the business professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission and configure machinery at customer sites.
Carry out site acceptance testing and ensure equipment is fully operational.
Provide customer demonstrations and operational training where required.
Complete installation and commissioning documentation.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control system faults.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize customer downtime.
Provide on-site and remote technical support.
Investigate recurring faults and recommend long-term solutions.
Complete service reports, timesheets, expenses, RAMS and other required documentation.
Record parts used, labour hours, expenses and equipment condition.
Maintain vehicles, tools, test equipment and spare parts.
Follow all company H&S procedures, customer site rules and relevant legislation.

About You

Previous experience servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial or commercial equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
A sound understanding of hydraulic systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
A flexible approach to overnight stays and worldwide travel.
A full UK driving license and valid passport.
Competence with Microsoft Office.

Desirable Experience

HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Experience with PLCs, control systems or automation.
Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition or City & Guilds.
