Service Engineer - Field based
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support the maintenance, repair, commissioning, and optimisation of process cooling systems across a range of industrial environments. The successful candidate will be a proactive engineer with strong fault-finding skills and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on process cooling systems.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
* Commission cooling equipment in line with specifications and industry standards.
* Conduct system inspections and performance assessments.
* Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site.
Required Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience working on process cooling systems.
* Strong fault-finding and repair experience across refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Knowledge of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, free coolers, adiabatic coolers, and associated controls.
* Experience carrying out commissioning, maintenance, and breakdown response activities.
* Full UK driving licence and formal engineering qualification.
Desirable Skills
* Health & Safety qualification or relevant experience.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
* Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
