Service Advisor

Description:

We are currently seeking a Service Advisor to join a well-established, family-run dealership in Southampton, Hampshire. This is an excellent Service Advisor opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to advance their automotive career within a reputable and customer-focused environment. Our client is a respected main dealer representing a prominent automotive brand, with over 30 years of experience and a strong market presence. We are looking for a Service Advisor with previous motor trade experience or a background in customer-facing roles to complement their existing team.

Benefits:

Competitive basic salary starting from £28,000, negotiable based on experience
Uncapped commission with a realistic OTE of £36,600+
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
Only four Saturday mornings per year (8:00am – 1:00pm)

Future career progression within a large groupDuties of a Service Advisor:

Attending to customers handing over and collecting vehicles for service or repair
Accurately recording customer requests and relaying these to the workshop team
Providing regular updates to customers during vehicle servicing
Costing and obtaining approval for any additional work required
Preparing and presenting customer invoices and related paperwork
Explaining work undertaken and recommended products such as service plans or warranties
Upselling relevant products and services to maximise workshop sales
Managing customer appointments efficiently and professionallyRequirements of a Service Advisor:

Demonstrable experience as a Service Advisor within the motor trade
Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused approach
IT literacy; experience with Pinnacle or a similar DMS is advantageous
Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
Ability to upsell and enhance customer satisfaction
