Service Advisor

Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Cardiff, South Wales, for an experienced Vehicle Service Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with franchise-approved dealership experience to join a friendly and dynamic team. The successful Service Advisor will be responsible for managing customer interactions, vehicle fault assessments, and promoting aftersales services.

Starting salary up to £32,598 per annum, increasing to £33,575 after 6 months

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00am-6:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pmDuties of a Service Advisor:

Accurately capturing customer details and vehicle faults at initial contact 
Taking telephone bookings and inputting data into workshop systems
Raising job cards and ensuring compliance with required documentation
Updating customers on vehicle repair progress
Managing customer database entries
Handing over completed vehicles and explaining repair details
Monitoring repair timelines to ensure timely delivery
Selling aftersales services, including service contracts and warranties
Coordinating vehicle bookings to maintain workshop workflow
Explaining service and inspection requirements, including MOTs and vehicle tests
Discussing payment options with customers
Providing advice on warranty and service needs
Ensuring compliance with legal vehicle inspection requirementsRequirements:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor within a franchise-approved dealership
Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
Organisational proficiency, with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and DMS systems (Kerridge/ADP preferred)
Full, clean UK driving licence with minimal points
