We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Advisor to join a reputable automotive dealership in Barnstaple. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to advance their career within the motor trade and work in a professional, customer-focused environment. The successful individual will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the effective operation of the service department.
Benefits of a Service Advisor:
Competitive basic salary of approximately £28,000, with potential for more depending on experience
Achievable on-target earnings of around £30,000 including bonuses
Working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Alternate Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with Friday afternoons off beforehand
22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service

Act as the main point of contact for customers within the service department, providing exceptional customer service
Manage service bookings and liaise effectively with technicians to coordinate repair schedules
Upsell additional services and products to enhance customer experience and department revenue
Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and service history
Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the service department
Promote dealership services and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service processRequirements of a Service Advisor:
Proven experience as a Service Advisor within the motor trade sector
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple bookings and customer needs
Professional approach with a commitment to high customer satisfaction
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
