We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor position at an independent garage in Ashford, Kent. This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled and experienced Service Advisor to join a reputable, family-run business known for delivering quality automotive services and fostering long-term customer relationships.
Key benefits of the Service Advisor:
Basic salary up to £34,000, dependent on experience
On Target Earnings (OTE) of £36,000+
Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 18:00, with a one-hour lunch break
One Saturday per month, 8:00 – 13:00, paid at overtime rates
No Sunday or bank holiday working

Modern, well-equipped workshop facilitiesDuties of the Service Advisor:
Greet customers and manage vehicle drop-offs and collections efficiently
Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service requests
Keep customers updated on vehicle progress throughout their service
Identify additional services and upsell suitable products or warranties
Prepare accurate invoices and explain the work carried out clearly
Support the workshop team with relevant information and scheduling
Promote service plans, warranties, and other add-on sales
Uphold high standards of customer service and satisfactionRequirements of the Service Advisor:
Proven experience in a Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive trade
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Organised and able to manage multiple customer bookings effectively
Confident in upselling and explaining technical work in a clear manner
IT literate, with experience in automotive management systems advantageous
Full UK driving licence, preferably clean
