Visual Impairment Sensory Needs Worker
We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Slough who are seeking a Visual Impairment Sensory Needs Worker to join their Adults Social Care Team in Slough.

£31.96 - £42 p/h Umbrella
30 hours per week
3 month initial contract with the view of extension
Hybrid working
Key responsibilities:
Assess and offer training to people in the community referred to the team, to maintain the independence and enhance their wellbeing.
Work to provide a support service to people with an identified visual impairment.
Identify, deliver and evaluate professional rehabilitation interventions to visually impaired people to enhance their skills and confidence to maximise their independence.
will involve assessing the needs of visually impaired service users, enabling them to consider the option available to increase independence, safety and enhance quality of life.Requirements:
A foundation degree in Rehabilitation Work (Visual Impairment). Or the following: Rehabilitation Officer Certificate, Mobility Instructor and Technical Officer Certificate.
