Job title: Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: 12 months rolling contract
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £45-£70/hr Umbrella
Location: Preston/Warrington/Cumbria
Hours of work: 37 hours Mon-Friday
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Experience working in nuclear or another highly regulated industry
- Experience working as part of a multi discipline team
- Design experience
- 3-5 years experience (senior) or 6+ years experience (principal) in mechanical engineering
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in mechanical engineering
- Chartership status
Role information:
- Develop AutoCAD designs and direct engineers in the production of designs
- Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team
- Ensure design deliverables are produced to a high standard
- Check and produce CDM risk registers
- Check and approve scoping and calculations
- Produce technically accurate documentation
- Ensure work is delivered to scope
- Develop estimates and requirements at bid stage
- Ensure health and safety procedures and legislation is adhered to
- Assess concessions and technical queries
